This guarantee excludes fatalities resulting from exposure to drought conditions, hurricanes, tornadoes, high winds, abnormal winters, under-watering or over-watering, overly wet ground conditions, adverse soil conditions, animal damage, lightning strikes, over-fertilizing, over-pruning, or other injurious acts by homeowner or third party service, airborne diseases or insects not evident at time of planting, or any other conditions over which Greenwoods has no control.

Greenwoods reserves the right to perform random hydrometer (measurement of water in the soil) checks of below-listed trees at your property during the guarantee period. If the hydrometer reading registers below mid-range for viability of these trees, the guarantee will be void.

In case of dispute, a certified arborist will examine the tree(s) and determine cause of death. Replacement trees will always be chosen by Greenwoods and if a tree at size originally planted is not available, then a smaller tree may be substituted. In no case shall Greenwoods be responsible for more than the amount originally paid for the merchandise. If a dead or dying tree is no longer accessible to our truck-mounted tree spade, the tree will be cut down and a smaller tree will be manually planted in its place. In no case shall the guarantee be transferable.
